Home/04 : Visuals
For years I worked as PsyPhi: VJ, new media artist, and creative technologist. Live visuals at festivals across Atlantic Canada, projection mapped stages, and interactive installations driven by Kinect, Leap Motion, and Vive controllers.
2019 : Festival, Atlantic Canada
A favorite festival night. Projection mapped geometry over the stage, played live in Resolume and TouchDesigner alongside Wasko AV and Anand Friesen.
2019 : Festival, New Brunswick
A stage built around a custom centerpiece: CNC cut plywood lined with WS2812 LEDs, all driven from Resolume over Art-Net so the lighting and visuals stayed locked to the music. VJ duties shared with Anand Friesen and Vessel Visuals.
2018 : Flash Festival, Moncton
Five interactive art pieces, each projection mapped onto lycra stretched over a frame. A Kinect read the depth of the fabric, so when people pushed into and stretched the lycra, the visuals reacted in real time. Built in TouchDesigner and shown in a public lab space at Flash Festival.
2019 : Track art
Ten commissioned covers for HomeBass FM's mix series, each tailored to the artist behind the mix, plus cover work for Lewcid's Ebullition EP. Built in TouchDesigner with glitch passes and finish work.
